A few considerations on putting together your own wedding flowers...
Putting together your flowers for your big day is a great project - but can become a little overwhelming.
Here are a few things to consider before you begin....
1. Flowers are messy!
You will need space that can get wet and messy!
Here is a basic list of commonly used tools people use:
Heavy duty clippers, buckets (lots of these!) vases,
flower food and other supplies which may vary based on your theme.
2. Do you have a enough time?
The week of your wedding is busy! It is easy to underestimate the time required to put together your arrangements. From flower pick up, preparation, actual arranging, storage and delivery - don't underestimate the time it will take!
3. Do you have enough help?
We have multiple designers working multiple days in advance to put together wedding flowers. Make sure you have enough help to get everything done on time.
4. Do you have a place to store and transport your flowers once put together?
If you are doing the work, you need to make sure you can easily transport the flowers to the venue. Think about turns around curves and quick brakes - how are you transporting them? Vases filled with water are harder to transport than you think! trust me - many wet car seats can vouch for this. :)
